This time the color of the sky was orange. As soon as it happened, Emily's body began to change. And within seconds, Emily had become a man, a male version of herself.
"So I am sure these kitchenware will go nicely with your handsome personality." the saleswoman finished. She then twirled her honey blonde hair and gave you an alluring look with her hazel eyes. Looking closer to her face, Charlie thought he saw a slight blush on her cheeks.
Charlie could feel his male body react to the more flirty atmosphere. Was the woman putting moves on him now?
Charlie couldn't move. But a minute later when he finally could, he looked down and saw what he had feared. He wasn't pregnant. Obviously, since he was now a guy.
He slammed the door, completely disregarding the saleswoman, and walked into the living room. After collapsing in a chair, he almost burst out in tears. The brief flirty conversation with the saleswoman was not enough to distract him from his current predicament, even if his new body had a slight 'reaction' to it. Out of all the things that could happen, why did this have to happen? Not only was Emily gone, but her unborn baby was gone too. And what if he waited around until the sky turned orange again? Presumably, Emily would become herself again, but what about the baby? Would Emily even be pregnant?
Charlie realized that an unborn baby might have just died under his watch.
