Thoughts on the "Seeking Direction" episode:

Maybe someone could suggest, at least, having the stone create some explanation for people? The point being that even if people will be happier "in the long run" if left changed/left changed back or whatever, at least there'd be some explanation instead of the whole thing being handed down. Basically, I see "trusting the stone to do whatever IT wants 'for people's own good'" as rather authoritarian, no? Or just as so as having Jon or Karyn decide it. Basically, "they can live with it" in that context sounds a bit too paternalistic; to my eyes, it puts Jon (or the stone) in a position of WAY too much power.

My belief is that people should be allowed to make their own mistakes. Of course, it doesn't mean having them forever stuck with it, but still. Maybe making it so people CAN change back and forth, but it'd not be a quick process, so they don't undertake it lightly? It could even be tied with some "technological" explanation: Taking a medicine for, say, a month, changes you back and forth.

I don't know. Like my character, I have a strong anti-authoritarian streak. It may be its influence, yes, but I kinda think "they can live with a decision they did not make if it means they'd be happier in the long run" rubs me the wrong way.
