Holding the stone, Jon said "I wish I had a device that can scan the DNA and mind of a person and make a copy of that person, only with a personality and lifestyle other than their own." The stone glowed, granting his wish.
Suddenly, the air blurred in the corner of Jon's room and with a loud "pop", a clear fluid-filled chamber appeared in that corner.
Jon and Karyn stepped towards it and noticed a small flat-screen monitor attached to the machine. Since there was no keyboard or such, Jon assumed that it was a touchscreen, and he was right. He touched his finger to the monitor's surface and suddenly the screen changed, with words saying:
SCAN VICINITY
Jon pressed it and suddenly there was a list of names on the screen:
JON GIBSON
ZOE GIBSON
LINDA GIBSON
KARYN BLACK
Those were all the people in Jon's house at the moment. Zoe was Jon's Goth sister and Linda was his mom.
"Why did you wish for the clone machine to only make other personality versions of people?" Karyn asked, as they inspected the device.
"I thought about wishing for one without making that specification, but then I thought about how confusing it would be if there two of the same people running around, let alone three, four, five, or more."
"Yeah, I guess that could be confusing," Karyn said.
"So, who should we use this on first?" Jon asked.
