Zoe let her textbook stuffed backpack fall to the ground with an audible thud before stretching out her tired arms.
“Shitty teachers, making us carry those books back and forth from school ‘just in case’ we need to use them during class.” She grumbled to herself, cursing her evil teachers and her stupid school that couldn’t just have classroom copies of the stupid books.
“Well, at least all that exercise” “is keeping you in good shape.” Karyn giggled from her two heads as she smiled at Zoe from her spot on the coach. She had one of her specially made shirts on, with two separate collars and four holes for her arms, her large breasts stretching out the words ‘our eyes are up here’ with two arrows pointing at either head.
“If I wanted to do weight lifting, I would have joined a gym.” Zoe scoffed, rolling her eyes away from the two-headed girl. “Be glad that you don’t have to go to school. It’s horrible.”
She’d never questioned the two headed Karyn who lived with them or why she looked like the other Karyn, and had the same name as her. It just felt like she had always been there, so there wasn’t any point in questioning it. But just because she never questioned it, doesn’t mean she hadn’t seen her around.

“I’m glad.” “Though your clothes are still pretty sweat stained.” “You should probably take a shower.” Karyn said, alternating between her heads. “I know black is your color, and I won’t say that the long sleeves aren’t you, but it is really too hot out for it.”
“A shower does sound great.” Zoe admitted, ignoring the tease about her clothes. She wasn’t quite ready yet to get up yet.
Though she did jump in surprise as someone came out of the kitchen into the dining room. “I’ve got the popcorn and drinks.” “Let’s get this movie night started…” A second two-headed Karyn said as she walked in, carrying two large bowls of popcorn and some cans of soda. She stopped as she saw Zoe, who was staring at her open mouthed. “Hey Zoe.” “I thought I heard your voice. How was school?”
“Huh!? What!? How!?” Zoe said, looking back and forth between the two Karyns. “How are there two of you!?”
““Um.”” ““Surprise?”” The two Karyns said together, each starting with their right head before finishing with their left. The two broke into giggles at the sight of Zoe’s shocked expression. “I used Jon’s cloning machine to make another me.” “Please don’t tell him.” “We want it to be a surprise.” The Karyn in front of Zoe said, putting the snacks down before clapping her four hands together as if begging Zoe to keep it a secret.
“Cloning machine? What are you talking about?” Zoe asked, wondering if she was going crazy.
As the Wishing Stone was too far away, the normalizing effect it had didn’t reach Jon’s house. As such, while Zoe had been wished to accept the presence of a two-headed Karyn, she was completely shocked by the implications of a cloning machine.
“You know.” “The cloning machine in your brother’s room.” The Karyn behind Zoe said, confused as to why Zoe didn’t know about it.
Zoe didn’t understand, but the proof was right in front of her, so she couldn’t exactly deny it. “So… you're a clone?” Zoe asked the Karyn behind her.
““Maybe…”” The Karyn said with a playful smile before both twins laughed from their four heads. “Since Jon isn’t coming home right away.” “Karyn and I were planning on watching a few movies together.” “How about you go and take that shower.” “Then you can join us.”
“Ah… sure.” Zoe said before getting up and walking over to the stairs, her mind still in a daze. She turned her head back to see the pair of Karyns sitting on the couch next to each other, giggling.
The goth girl flushed a bit as she saw the pair share a peck on the lips, and decided she could really use a cold shower.
Though as she passed by Jon’s room, she peeked in and saw the large cloning camber in the corner of his room.
...Now she knew that hadn’t been there before.
Glancing back to make sure she wasn’t being followed, she quickly slipped into the room and closed the door behind her before walking up to the machine.
The machine seemed to sense her attention and started to turn on. “What parameters would you like to input?”
“Well… what kind are there?” Zoe just asked after glancing over the machine, looking for some kind of keypad. Maybe it was a touch screen.
The computer responded by pulling up a list of possible options on the screen, Zoe reading them over as her heart pounded in her chest.
What was she going to do?
