Karyn put her face on her hand. Seeing her sitting down on his bed, tense, somewhat shaky, made Jon feel simply rotten. He glanced at the hole in the wall and winced - he'll have to wish-repair that. But that could wait. Silently he sat next to Karyn and wrapped his arms around her. He could hear her heartbeat with his ear to her shoulder.
"I am sorry," He said, soothingly.
Karyn tensed then relaxed. "I... just be careful, okay? We've already got one problem because of not knowing what we're doing."
Jon nodded. "Two problems."
Karyn rolled her eyes, but said, "Three, if you count the hair."
Jon smiled. Karyn smiled. They waited and then Karyn stood up.
"I think it'll do us some good to leave the house. No magic, just the two of us."
Jon couldn't agree more.
