Karyn smiled thinking of the torment that Sarah had to be going through. The two commands she had given the cheerleader were sure to create all sorts of torture. The first one, which had been all Karyn's idea, to take away the experience of saying 'no' had ended the potential prom queen in a date with one of the school nerds Lewis Trambers. Watching the awkward exhange in the hallway had been priceless.
The second command she had to give credit to Jon. Zapping her on the way out school, making sure that nobody saw, then taking away the experience of putting an outfit together for a date that wasn't incredibly sexy was brilliant. Who knew that Jon could be so mean, not to mention specific? As Karyn walked into Jon's house with her friend she found herself thankful that she wasn't the object of his wrath; when it came to nastiness, he had a frighteningly creative side.
Now it was her turn again with the gun. She held the cold metal in her hand. This thing was way more fun to play with than the stone. For one, she didn't find herself panicking while she used it, knowing that things could be reversed if they got too crazy. For another, she had way more control as to who got affected by the changes.
"Hey, Jon? I'm dying to know how Sarah's date is going. Do you think we could wish up some way to look in on them?"
"That's a great idea!" Jon said as he got out the stone. "I wish that my computer had the magical ability to show Sarah MacMillan's current location as though it were a TV show. I also wish that no one else had this ability, and that the program could record the show and play it back later."
Jon saw the new icon on his desktop and double-clicked to open the new program. Jon and Karyn tuned in just in time to see Sarah texting her friend under the table.
"Oh, that can't be good! Hey, Jon, do you think this gun works through the computer?"
"Well, if it doesn't we can wish that it does easily enough!"
"Excellent. I know just what to do about this..."
