Going to the Mall

"Why don't we go somewhere public to use this?" Karyn said.
"That sounds good," Jon replied. "Maybe being around other people will give us some ideas for using this device. The mall should be good and crowded right about now."
"That would be perfect. But it might look strange if other people see us carrying around some low-budget-sci-fi-film ray gun."
Jon grabbed the wishing stone. "I'll take care of that. I wish that no one but me or Karyn could see the Body Manipulator Device."
Thus prepared, Jon and Karyn took off for the mall. After arriving there, Karyn noticed Jon staring at an attractive college-aged woman.
"Jon, do you mind if I use the device first?" Karyn asked.
"No problem," he said, handing the gun over to her. As he returned his gaze to the woman he'd been admiring, he failed to notice Karyn pointing the device at him.
