Karyn sat and thought for a few minutes, and realized that she wouldn't get caught with Jon if she could turn invisible. She also didn't want to have to touch Jon; that could be tricky.
She picked up the stone, and carefully said "I wish I could change the size of body parts that I can see just by thinking about it."
Nothing seemed to happen. Karyn couldn't test it out right now, because she was alone in her room, but she decided that she could still change things by touch if she had to. Then she said:
"I wish I had a magic ring that would make someone invisible while they're wearing it."
With a brief flash, a small, silver ring appeared on her dresser. She stood in front of the mirror and slipped it on. Her reflection vanished, but her clothes remained visible.
"Rats!" she said. She thought about making another wish, but noticed the clock, and realized that she had to hurry if she was going to make it to school in time. She didn't want to wish herself to school, because she was afraid that a poorly-worded wish might trap her at the school or something. She tucked the stone into her jewelery box, put her magic ring in her pocket, and headed off to school.
