Jon decided to wait until after school to torment Sarah any further. That would give her time to begin to think things were getting back to normal ... that perhaps whatever had happened to her earlier in the day had subsided.
However, simply because he wasn't messing with Sarah didn't mean that he was not messing with anyone else. Jon had tried his new device on all sorts of people at school. At lunch, for instance, Jon used the device to make Biff pull down his own pants in front of everyone in the cafeteria. In Chemistry, Jon made Mrs. Dearborne slap Steve Farber, and then he made Steve army crawl out of the room as though he was trying to escape Mrs. Dearborne without being seen or harmed further.
One person he had not see since before school started was Karyn, who, he assumed, was avoiding him.

Instantly Jon's TV grew and turned on to show him Sarah talking to some friends in the hallway, seemingly over the events of earlier in the day. If she wasn't, she certainly acted like she was very well. Sarah and a few other cheerleaders were heading to the locker rooms to prepare for practice.
Jon wished that he could fire the gun at someone through the TV and it would have the same effects as if he were right next to them. Then he fired it at Sarah through the TV after setting the device on setting number two, the physical sensation transmitter. Then, while watching the girls undress to change into their uniforms, Jon began to masturbate.
