Meanwhile, Jon realized that he wanted the device to be a little less conspicuous to use, so he made a few wishes.
"I wish that only Karyn and I can see and use this device. I wish that the device can be controlled by mental commands. I also wish that the device has five additional settings, which are as follows:
"First, the device can be set for long-term effects. When this setting is activated, the device operator merely has to think of a body part, and whatever he or she does with his or her own body part will also happen to the subject's body in the same manner.
"Second, the device can be set to transmit feelings from the operator to the subject; the operator simply has to will the subject to feel his or her physical sensations.
"The third setting combines the first two.
"And the fourth and fifth are random (though whatever they are will be displayed on the device)."
