They heard knocking on Zoe's door. "Zoe, get to school," Jon's mom said.
"I guess we better get going," Jon said.
"I'm not going to school, Jon. Can't we just skip it? Zoe does that all the time, doesn't she?"
"Not all the time."
"You know, you almost sound like you want be stuck in Athena's body," Karyn said. "Do you have a thing for her?"
"No way. I just thought it would be an interesting experience. We can't go back to normal, so why not take the opportunity. Come on, Karyn. It's only for a day."
Karyn crossed her arms in front of her corset. "Fine," she said, giving in.
As they walked to school, Jon started to complain.
"Why does Athena always wear these clothes?" she said, looking down at her gothic dress. "They're so cumbersome."
"She's a Goth."
"Zoe doesn't wear clothes like these."
"Okay, she's an old-fashioned Goth. Can we talk about something else?"
Obviously Karyn wasn't taking this as well as Jon wanted. She wondered if Karyn was going to make things more difficult for them.
