"Can't you do that later?" Jon asked his mom. "This is really important."
"Fine," she said. "But we're going to have this talk later, young lady," she said to Karyn. "Don't think that you're getting off easy."
Jon and Karyn ran upstairs and into Jon's bedroom.
Karyn plopped herself down on Jon's bed. "I can't believe I have to stay in this body for another day."
"Day?" Jon asked. "You set it for a day?"
"I wanted a thorough experience."
"Well, you've got one."
"I wanted to be a bird, Jon. Not your sister."
The doorbell rang from downstairs, catching Jon's attention. He went out into the hallway to hear who it was. To his dismay, it was Zoe's friend Athena.
"Yeah," he heard his mom say. "She's upstairs."
Jon ran back into his room. "Zoe's friend is here."
"What?"
"She's coming upstairs. She's gonna think you're Zoe. Try to act like her."
"I'm not acting like your sister, Jon."
Jon peeked out into the hall and saw Athena turning the corner from the stairs.
