"My turn, then." Karyn began rummaging around in the chest. "Hmmm perfect!"
She pulled out what looked like a shawl and handed it to Jon. He held it up.
"Okay, how should I be wearing this?"
"Just drape it over your shoulders."
Jon threw the shawl over his shoulders. He sat there, waiting for something to happen, but only felt a tingling in his arms. It began to fall, and when Jon reached up to readjust it, he found he couldn't! Not that he couldn't move, but that he had no arms to reach up with!
The shawl fell to reveal that Jon's arms ended at his shoulders. Jon was speechless.
"Oh that is a good look for you, Jon!" Karyn cackled.
Jon recovered. "And how am I supposed to continue playing this game...or do anything really?"
"Use your feet! Or your teeth, I suppose."
"You're enjoying this way too much."
"That I am. Your turn!"
Jon scowled at her, then struggled to reach the chest with his foot. Karyn's smile deepened as she watched him turn this way and that, trying to grasp the next article of clothing inside the chest. With a look of concentration, Jon finally pulled out a knee-length skirt.
Karyn grabbed it from his outstretched toes. Watching Jon, she measured it up against her body, then decided to strip to keep from ruining her current pants. With only her panties on, she shimmied into the tight skirt.
"You might want to sit down," Jon said.
Karyn could see why. As soon as the skirt was in place (which was difficult to do with an udder), her legs seemed to lose their strength. She collapsed back onto the chair to watch as her legs turned green, then the details of scales popped forth. The skirt was tightening on her upper legs, forcing them together. She lifted up the skirt to find the udder gone and her legs fusing together. She watched as her legs came together at the knees, fusing down like a zipper. Finally, her ankles merged, leaving her feet to flatten and elongate to a graceful set of green fins.
She was a cow-girl mermaid.
Thankfully she had lost the udder, otherwise Karyn didn't think she'd be able to move at all. It was difficult enough as it was, and she was finding it near impossible to stay seated on the chair.
"Help me out, would you?"
Jon merely raised his nub of a shoulder. Karyn grumbled, and lowered herself the best she could to the floor.
"Well," she said once properly laid out on the floor. "This will take some getting used to."
