"It's not that I'm not interested Coach. I'm just not sure if I'm good enough for it." Susan said nervously.

"That's nonsense Susan. You're more than athletic and pretty enough for it. I could teach you the routines and have you ready in no time." Sarah brushed off Susan's concerns easily.

Jon just watched the exchange with interest. He hadn't expected anything like this, and it felt so surreal. Though no longer related Sarah was now older than her mom, and trying to push her into cheerleading, likely the same way Susan had to a younger Sarah. The mystery still remained of why Sarah had gotten older, and why her mom had become a student in the first place.

"Help me out here Jon. You know Susan would love being a cheerleader. The most popular girls always are." Sarah began trying to recruit Jon's assistance.

"Uh, yeah, I guess that's true." Jon said slowly. Sarah and Susan both seemed less than impressed.

"Jon wouldn't know popular if it kicked him in his ass." A haughty laugh echoed out.

Jon and the others turned. The former McMillans didn't bat an eye at the newcomer, but Jon began panicking. It was his own mother, though younger. He recognized her, despite her more blonde tinted hair, easily from her resemblance to her older self, and pictures he'd seen of her at his age. She was already wearing Sarah's old cheer outfit, and everything about her body language said she was a bitch. She relished in her sexy sway, drawing attention from some nearby boys.

"Perfect timing Linda. I'm scouting Susan here for the junior team, and I think with your help she could really shine." Sarah explained.

"She is pretty enough. It's hard to believe she and Jon are related." Linda laughed mockingly. Jon felt hurt as the woman who raised him began treating him like dirt.

"You think I'm pretty?" Susan said hopefully.

"Sure, but that won't cut it. You have to have talent. Why don't you come with me and Coach, and you can give us a little try out?" Linda pushed Jon away as she began leading Susan toward Sarah.

"What's with mom?" Jon said quietly to himself.

"Please tell her I'm trying out for the team. Coach can give me a ride home later, right?" Susan seemed to hear some of what Jon was saying, but not all of it. She looked to Sarah hopefully.

"Sure, anything to help out. You won't regret this Susan." Sarah said with a salesman's smile.

"Don't wait up Jon." Linda said haughtily before the three walked away.
