Meanwhile, Jon and Karyn wondered what they should do while they waited to see the results. Jon's dad was at work, would probably be home in about an hour or so. They heard the shower running upstairs in his parents' room, so his mom must be taking a shower.
They decided to take a look around the house. It was exactly the same, except for the photos on the wall. Karyn pointed out the large family portrait that hung over the mantle. Jon, Zoe, and Mikey looked exactly the same, but it looked like Jon's parents had switched positions in the photo, and what looked like Jon's dad (who was really his mom) was wearing the floral print dress, pearl necklace, earrings, and makeup, and what looked like Jon's mom (but was really his dad) was wearing a suit and tie. But besides what they wore, everything looked exactly the same, even their hairstyles. Same went for their wedding photo that hung next to it.
Jon pulled an old photo album from the shelf and flipped through it. He laughed at some of the photos, there were pictures of his dad in his mom's body going camping with the guys, and pictures of his mom in his dad's body attending a babyshower. Jon shut the book when he came to a photo of his parents at the beach, at the sight of his mom (dad) in nothing but a pair of swimming trunks. Karyn giggled at the sight of Jon's dad (mom) posing very girlishly in a pink bikini.
They heard the shower turn off, and about ten minutes later, Jon's mom came walking down the stairs, wearing a towel wrapped up to breast level, and a towel wrapped up on her head.
"Oh!" she said embarrassed. "Jon! I didn't know you had company, excuse me! Your father's taking me out to dinner tonight, was trying to get ready!"
With that, she ran back up the stairs. Jon wondered what would happen on their dinner date, and picked up the stone.
"I wish mom and dad would invite me and Karyn along on their date."
