Samantha could take no more of the lies these men were telling her and launched into attack against the slavers. She realized she was not as strong as she once was so she went after the weakest looking target first to give herself some confidence. Her leap from the horse added the laws of physics to her side causing her blade to slice clean through the small slaver she had targeted ending the threat he had posed, but she didn’t wait to congratulate herself on the success because she knew four opponents remained.
The momentary stun the slavers had felt at seeing a small woman attack them into action. It would be interesting to see how they chose to divide themselves now. The wisest thing to do would be two against Samantha and two against Albert until they determined the true strength of each opponent because Samantha may have just struck a lucky blow but they shouldn’t take that chance. The paladin watched to see what way the winds would blew the slavers.
The thin man with the whip began to approach Samantha while the person with a net began to try to flank her which left the man with the maces and a person with a man catcher to attack her squire. It wasn’t a good match up for either of them. The two men the paladin was facing had longer reach weapons than her short sword, but they weren’t likely to have the years of combat experience she had. Samantha was worried about her squire though because these men had a lot more experience then him and he was likely to be worried about how she would perform and try to get over to her when he should be focusing on his own opponents.
