"Jon has a big date today with Pete Matthews." Pete Matthews was one of Jon's friends.
"You know about that?" asked Jon.
Karyn giggled. "Of course I know," she said. "Do you really think no one notices how you look at him when you think no one's watching?" Jon blushed.
"Come on, Karyn," said Jon. "You know that Pete and I are just 'experimenting.' Its not like either of us are really gay or anything. We just like spending time together?"
Jon continued along this line for several more minutes, explaining why going out with another guy does not necessarily make someone gay, not noticing that Karyn had slipped the pencil and paper underneath Jon's desk. She had decided to add a few things without telling Jon, just to see what happened. She started writing as Jon chose what he would wear on his 'date' with Pete.
