Karyn looked at Jon in his outfit; high heels, short skirt, spaghetti-strapped top, not to mention the hair and makeup. She could see the look of discomfort in his eyes; something else too... panic?

She shook off the speculation. The power of the pencil was amazing! In just a few short seconds it had taken her friend and completely transformed him into a teenage boy forced into drag by the school's biggest bully. Not only that, but from the looks of it, Jon had gone whole hog into the new lifestyle. There was lingerie draped over his bed-frame, a mountain of make-up and hair products adorned his dresser (which now had a full mirror on top of it), and a closet packed to the gills with girlie outfits (she was pretty sure that all his old clothes were gone to make room for the new ones).

She wondered what his family thought of this new Jon, his new clothes and his new relationship. Had they gone along with it? Had they protested? She decided she was going to find out.

"Karyn, please! Get me out of this! Change me back!"

A smile crept, unbidden, onto her face.

"No, Jon," she said firmly, "Not yet. I want to see where this leads."

"What?! You can't be serious!" At that, he lunged for the pencil.

Karyn, however, was too quick for him. She jumped out of the way, finding herself more agile than a Jon in high heels. He toppled over, landing on his stomach, catching himself before his face hit the floor. She caught him quickly glancing in the mirror to see if his make-up was messed as he stood up. She was pretty sure that he didn't think she noticed.

"Jon," she said in a very matronly manner, "don't make me use the pencil to change you further. I promise I'll stop it before it gets to terrible, but I want to see where this leads... for now."

Jon, defeated, sank to his knees, put his face in his well manicured hands, and began to cry.

"Buck up Jon! Biff'll be here soon!"

At that, the doorbell rang. Jon looked up in panic, jumped to his feet and ran to the mirror to double-check his make-up. By the time the bell rang a third time, Jon was at the door, shooting one last angry glance at Karyn before he shot out into the hallway and to the front door, not wanting to keep his big date waiting.
