"I don't mean to be rude," Jon said, his voice perfectly matching the melodic timbre of the starlet he was impersonating, "but you don't exactly look like a Karyn."
Jon leaned back and tucked a lock of brown hair behind his right ear, taking in the image of his date once again. It was uncanny, but somehow his date on this week-long tropical adventure had the exact same name as his best friend back home, Karyn Black. Of course, that was where the resemblance ended. Karyn, his date, looked nothing like Karyn his friend. Long blonde hair, huge breasts, thin waist, Jon's date was such a bro! Karyn back home was a girl! There was just no resemblance!
"My mother had a sense of humour, I guess," Mr. Karyn Black replied with a good-humoured tone to his voice.
"Well, lots of men have, um, unisex names," Jon replied quickly, reaching a hand across the table to show that he wasn't freaked out in any way by the revelation of Karyn's name, "Why back home I have two friends named Tracy, one a woman, one a man. Nothing wrong with it."
The alto tone of Jon's date's laughter made him relax. Maybe he was getting into the role a bit too much, he was in this for the money after all, but Jon took comfort in the joviality his companion was displaying. It was more than relief over what could have been a social faux-pas. Jon felt good being around a man who liked him, a strong man who was enjoying his company. He'd never felt this way before, and once the date was over and he won the money, he probably wouldn't feel this way again, but he allowed the feeling to wash over him.
"It doesn't bother me in the least," Karyn replied, making a gesture with his left hand as if to dismiss the notion.
Jon watched as Karyn leaned back to assess Jon hungrily, her salmon-coloured shirt laying open, giving Jon a good view of his date's sizable cleavage. For a brief moment Jon panicked that his date was seeing through his disguise, then relaxed. Jon couldn't look more perfect. With the exception of his penis, Jon knew that there was no way Karyn could recognized that he wasn't on a date with the real Evangaline Lilly. What he was seeing was appreciation, not suspicion.
"Like what you see?" Jon asked playfully, causing his date to blush slightly, "Remember, we have all week to get to know each other. Let's take things slowly, and we'll see where things take us."
Jon watched his date's blush turn into a full-face flush, as the heat of Jon's suggestion landed on the red-blooded man's imagination. Jon meant it, too. He'd never been attracted to a man before, but there was something about this Karyn Black, maybe it was his rugged, puffy lips, maybe it was his long, luxurious locks, but Jon could really let himself go this week, get into character, and fall for this guy.
Jon decided that he was going to have to be careful, or this week-long date was going to get him into trouble.
