"I have to admit," said Karyn, "I did think that would change you..."
Jon looked carefully at Karyn's face. "I don't know," he said. "I don't see that expression you usually get when you're trying to hide something..."
"I'm not!" said Karyn. "I wondered if that would change you into a girl, but it didn't."
"Are you sure you didn't change anything? You didn't make me like eating anchovies or something?"
"Why would giving you a twin sister make you like anchovies?"
"I don't know," replied Jon, "it's just the first thing I could think of that you might have changed. Still, I can't believe you just dreamed up my sister."
Just then, a boy identical to Jon--or at least what seemed to be a boy identical to Jon--entered the room. "Come on in, Jamie," said Jon. "We were just talking about you."
Karyn did a double take. "Wha-- He's you! But I wrote down a twin sister, not a brother."
"But," said Jon, "she is my twin sister. You know that Jamie looks exactly like me... you're one of the few people who even knows that Jamie's a girl."
