Both Jon and Karyn blasted Zoe with the Mental Gun. Technically, it was Jon who pulled the trigger, but Karyn was also holding the gun.
Zoe looked down at herself. "Oh man," she said. "This is so freakin' weird."
"Zoe?" Jon asked.
His sister looked up at him and shook her head. "I'm Karyn ... and Jon."
"How is that possible?" Karyn asked.
"We were both holding the gun. Zoe must have a mix of our minds." He turned towards his sister. "Or are they completely separate?"
"Separate, I think. I have Karyn's memories and Jon's memories. But who's mind do I have? This is too confusing." She paused, thinking. "I have to fix this."
Jon watched his sister walk past him and up the stairs. "Where are you going?" he called after her.
"To get the stone, of course."
Jon and Karyn looked at each other, then ran after her. "Zoe, wait!"
Jon cursed himself. He should have just blasted her again with the gun (thus reversing the effect) and be done with it. But now she was going to use the stone? Who knew what she'd do to herself?
