"Who are you gonna change first?" Karyn asked.
Jon thought about that, then pointed the device at Karyn. But she protested.
"Hey, don't I get a say in this?" she asked.
"Well, who would you want to use it on?" Jon asked back.
Karyn grabbed the gun from Jon. "Actually, you."
"What?" That was all Jon could say, before Karyn pulled the trigger. He watched as his body was bathed in an odd purple haze. When the purple smoke cleared, Jon saw Karyn staring.
"What?"
"I don't believe it," Karyn said. "Jon, you're a girl."
"Of course I'm a girl, Karyn. And my name is Jen, not Jon. Now, come on. We've got some shopping to do," she said, pulling Karyn with her.
Karyn couldn't believe it. Jon really had become more like her. He was now the female version of himself, he (actually, she) now dressed like Karyn, and also had the same interests as Karyn, like shopping.
Karyn dropped the device on Jon's bed and left the house with Jen to go to the mall.
