Karyn stared at Jon.
"What?"
"I remember my life from the last eight years."
"What are you talking about?" Jon asked.
"That device didn't make me eight years older. It turned me into my 25-year old self."
"So, you're Karyn from the future?"
"I think so. Yeah."
"I thought it would only make you physically older."
"I guess not."
"Maybe I should change you back."
"No!" Karyn said.
"Why not?"
"Then I'll lose eight years of my life."
"But that really didn't happen. You only think it happened, because of this." Jon held up the device.
"Please, Jon. I don't want to go back to being a teen again."
"You were a teen just a minute ago."
"It feels like eight years to me," Karyn said.
