After Jay left, Sarah went up to her room and went to sleep, looking forward to the next school day.
Downstairs, her parents worked out their job problems. Susan didn't want to be a lingerie model anymore. Part of the reason was because of her looks, but mostly it was because she found it to be an inappropriate occupation for a mother.
She didn't know too much about her husband's work (whenever he talked about it, it was all business stuff), but she asked him if she could get a job at his company. He said yes, which greatly relieved her.
Richard McMillan was the executive at McMillan Tech Industries (MTI for short). It wasn't a really big company, although they had a 20-floor building in Pittsburgh, which is where his office was. But it was how he had earned quite a bit of money. Not a lot of people could have owned a house as big as his family's, or owned the cars that they drove.
He had started the company, although he didn't really know anything about technology. He was a businessman. But now, with his new personality, he felt like he wanted to take a more active role at his company. He wanted to work with the technology that they created there and with the people who created it.
He saw this personality change as a good thing. It would definitely make him better at his job. His employees would just have to get used to the fact that their CEO was a geek.
