Karyn should have seen it coming and after it happened she wondered how she could have let it happen.
Jay blasted Karyn with the device and she instantly became a geek, like Jay and Jon. She wore glasses now, but they weren't as thick as Jon's and Jay's. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and appeared as though it hadn't been shampooed lately, or at least not very well. She wore a white blouse and a long denim skirt. In her mouth, she could feel her braces.
She was in shock. "You ... you said you'd fix Jon."
"No, I said I'd fix this situation. I think being a geek is better for Jon. And I wanted you to feel the same way. So, the only logical decision to make was to turn you into geek as well."
"He's right, Karyn. When you look at it ..." Jon started to say before getting cut off.
"Stop defending him!" Karyn yelled.
Jon stopped, and looked a bit sorry. Although he probably wasn't. Jon thought that Karyn as a geek was a good idea too. There's nothing wrong with being smarter.
"It doesn't matter how you feel about it, Karyn. Because soon, you'll see it my way." He looked at Jon. "Our way."
Karyn didn't want to see it anyone's way. She just wanted to be normal again.
