Sarah aimed the device at Jon, readying to fire. But then she lowered it.
"Sarah? What's wrong?" Karyn said, sounding concerned.
She touched the view screen, scrolling back down to POPULAR. Sarah would love nothing more than to punish Jon, but what if she could make him a better person? Of course, her idea of a better person was someone like her. She thought about a female Jon and smiled. But the device didn't have an option to make Jon a "popular girl". Just "popular".
"How come there isn't an option for POPULAR GIRL?" she asked Karyn.
"Because it's a personality manipulator, not a gender manipulator."
"Good point."
"What were you planning to do?" Karyn asked.
"I'm thinking of doing Jon a favor. After this, he won't be a loser anymore."
Karyn really wanted to punish Jon, but she agreed with Sarah. She could remember all of those years being friends with Jon and it disgusted her. How could she have been friends with such a loser? Sarah's plan would change Jon for the better.
Sarah aimed at Jon and pulled the trigger.
