Jon, from his distance, couldn't see much. They were obviously struggling for the device, but he couldn't see who was getting the upper hand.
"Give it to me!" Zoe yelled, pulling back on the device.
"No, Zoe! This is wrong! Athena and Zelda would agree with me!"
"Leave my friends out of it!"
"They're my friends too!" Karyn yelled back.
They struggled back and forth until Karyn stopped and looked at the ground.
While they were fighting, Jon ran up closer. Now he could see why Karyn had stopped. On the ground was the wishing stone. Jon was right, thinking that Karyn had the stone with her. It must have dropped to the ground when they were struggling for the device.
He wondered what would happen next. Would Karyn give it Zoe? Or would she use it herself?
