When Jon finally opened his eyes, he saw ... well, his bedroom. He took a step forward and accidentally tripped on some clutter in the middle of his room, falling to the floor. Once down on his hands and knees, he looked back and saw that there was a pile of clothes behind him. It seemed that he was just as messy with dirty laundry in this reality as his own. But was this another reality? After all, it seemed all so familiar and normal. Yeah, Karyn wasn't there, but she could have just stepped out for a moment.

Pushing himself back up to his feet, he looked at himself in his bedroom mirror and, while he didn't look different, he felt different. Pulling down his pants and his underwear, he realized why. He had no testicles! He had a dick, but no balls! Panicking, he ran to his computer (hoping they had the internet in this reality), then tried to find out what the hell was going on.

After some research (and yes, the internet did exist here), Jon discovered that no males ever had testicles. The function of the penis was for urination, and nothing else. Women still had babies, but their biology did not require sex to procreate. Almost like clockwork, females got pregnant around 20 years old, then again around 30 years old, then again around 40 years old, and possibly again around 50. Of course, barring any medical complications, having a baby at 20 years old was guaranteed, with having a baby in all the times after that, getting less and less likely, until at age 50, it was very rare.

Since procreation was not initiated by sex, there was no biological reason for sex. So it didn't exist in this reality. And since people didn't have sex, they also had no reason try to look attractive, so there were a lot more ugly people around. Although, other than that, men still looked like men (despite lack of balls, of course), and women still looked like women, even still having breasts, since their main function was to feed babies.

Jon sat in his desk chair, taking it all in. Sex didn't exist? Girls didn't try to look sexy? He wondered what Sarah McMillan and her friends looked like now. Jon himself didn't really look all that different, as far as looks went. But he wasn't exactly a stud to begin with.

He wondered if maybe he should try to get back to his own reality (he still had the ARD watch), or maybe explore this new world a little more.
