"Yeah," said Jon.
Karyn dragged another file to where Jon could access it. "Here's that discussion thread they mentioned."
Jon opened it and saw the initial post from Deanna, who he now realized was his sometime friend Dean Lowell. The next followup posts were from Biff and Sarah, as predicted. And then a virtual cascade of posts from names familiar, and some not-so-familiar. Jon recognized most of the last names, but some were paired with new, at least to him, first names. These must be the ones who were currently Changed in this reality.
"They really pulled it off," remarked Karyn. "They got everyone, or nearly everyone, in our class onboard. I'm impressed. And no one bailed when they got around to mentioning that the plan involved getting a... 'Change.'"
There were way too many messages for them to read every single one. They jumped to the end, and found Deanna's last post to the thread, timestamped earlier that afternoon, around the time school let out.

Tomorrow is D-Day, guys. Thanks for all your support, and for NOT SQUEALING! I'm really loving these Tales you're spinning for your families. The following classes will talk about this for years. Get a nice Change, this afternoon or tonight, (or get up REALLY early in the morning to do a decent job on yourself) and come tomorrow dressed up nice. Not super-formal, it is only school after all. But definitely want to dress better than the underclasses. The formal party will be at Logan's Friday night for those who really want to get Decked Out. :)
Reminder: Me and some others will be bringing non-digital film-type cameras tomorrow, so please wear real makeup! Sarah (what's your mel name, btw?) and his squad will be there at least an hour before first period by the gym replicators to help out the new fems who need it.
