"Hey, Earth to Jon. Are you listening?" Steve Farber asked, breaking Jon out of his thoughts.
Jon looked at Steve, also a cheerleader in this universe, and said "Huh?"
"I was asking you if you and Karyn did it last night?" Steve repeated.
"What!?" Jon asked taken aback by the question."
"Yeah I heard Sarah say this morning that she saw you and Kar out at the theatre last night. So, what was it like?" Steve asked. "Was it as you imagined?"
"Er." Jon replied not really sure how to respond. He looked at the rest of the squad who had closed in apparently eager to hear what he had to say.
"We, didn't actually do it." He told them. Everyone gasped in shock.
"What!?" Biff exclaimed. "When we heard about last night we knew you must've been excited. You've been wanting Karyn to ask you out for months." The other cheerleaders nodded.
"So what happened?" Steve asked. "Was Karyn not able to perform?"
"No!" Jon replied shocked at the question. "It was nothing like that." He told them. Biff and Steve exchanged knowing looks.
Jon sighed and explained. "We just decided to go out as friends. Nothing to serious as we didn't want to ruin our friendship by making things awkward."
"Really?" Steve asked surprised. "That doesn't sound like you or Karyn."
"Yeah, well maybe we decided that we actually enjoy each other's company." Jon replied crossing his arms sounding annoyed.
"Ok, whatevs!" Steve replied waving his hands in the air as the bell rang.
"Come on Jon." Biff said taking Jon's hand and leading him to their next class. "We'll see you guys at lunch!" Biff called to the others.
