Subtle Changes

Susan dug out the Goofy t-shirt from a couple years ago. She brought up pictures from the trip on her phone. Scrolling through, she felt it could work. She looked about the same. Maybe a couple pounds lighter and few less wrinkles. Alan was already in the kitchen starting breakfast for them, whistling while he was cooking.
She took the Goofy shirt and touched the medallion to it. She felt the shock that Alan had mentioned. Not too bad. She felt her skin crawl a little, but not much else. She went to the mirror in the bathroom and saw that she looked a little younger. A few fewer grays, some sun damage that wasn't there anymore. Her teeth even looked a little brighter. She didn't have that pain in her left knee anymore either. She liked the change, and went about getting ready for work.
Alan was in the kitchen getting the eggs and toast on plates when Susan walked in.
"Honey, did you do something to your hair?"
"Why yes, Alan, I did. I took a few years off of it."
"Well, it looks great. So does the rest of you."
"Flatterer. Maybe we can do something like that for you?"
"It'll have to wait until tonight. We have to get to work, and we have another 12 hours until we can use it again. Meet you here after work?"
"It's a date."
They got into their cars and left for work, both distracted by the possibilities that awaited them at home when they got there.
