"I can't believe you just did that without asking, Jon!" Karyn yelled. Then she shut her mouth, as her new male voice shocked her.
"Oh relax, Karyn. Or is it Karl now?" Jon asked, with a snicker.
Karyn grabbed the front of Jon's pink T-shirt. She was a lot more intimidating now, since she was a boy. "Change me back!"
"Only if you agree to stay like this for an hour," Jon said.
"What? I'm not agreeing to that."
"Come on, Karyn. It's only one hour. And besides, maybe you'll even like it."
"Yeah, whatever," Karyn said. She touched her neck and felt her new Adam's apple. She didn't think she could get used to her deeper voice. She sighed. "Fine. But after one hour, you have to change me back. No excuses."
"Agreed," Jon said, smiling.
