"How far into the past?" Jon asked.
Karyn thought it over and said "Twenty years ago?"
"Twenty years? That's it? What about a hundred years, or thousand?"
"Well, then we can see what things were like when our parents were in high school. Maybe we could even see how they met."
Jon shrugged and said "Okay."
They both stepped into the chamber, which was a tight squeeze, and waited for something to happen.
"Maybe you have to say out loud where you want to go," Karyn suggested.
Jon cleared his throat and said "Twenty years ago."
And with that, the chamber glowed brightly and they were gone.
