Jane snuck out of her bedroom, after she saw her dad put the stone down. She remembered this. He had put the stone down and she had gone to grab it, but before she could, her father had slapped her hand away, saying that it was dangerous. He never said why.
This time, she was going to be more careful. She slowly crept down the hall to see where her dad was, making sure he wasn't around when she made her attempt to get the stone. After her satisfaction had been met, she quickly snatched the stone and went back to her room.
Once her door was closed, she took a deep breath. She did it! She had changed her past! And if she could change that, she could change anything, right?
Harold McMillan, here I come, Jane thought to herself, smiling.
Then she looked down at the stone and wondered why her father was so protective of it. "I wish I knew why this stone is so important to him," she muttered to herself. Suddenly, the stone glowed, causing her to look away. When the light was gone, she knew. The stone was magic and could grant any wish she desired!
She smiled, as several wishes had already come to mind.
