On the way to Jon's house, Jon pointed out a picture on a billboard. "Alan, look at that girl in the bikini in that ad," he said. "She's hot."
"Don't say that," said Alan. "If you say that, then I think it, and if either of us thinks it, we become more feminine and slutty, because of Karyn's wish."
"No, no," explained Jon. "That's the whole point. Do you look more feminine and slutty? I don't think so."
"What?"
"I noticed I didn't seem to change when I saw that picture of that model. Here's my theory. Karyn was trying to change our appearance. She said she'd 'make sure we're not stuck' like this; that's what that meant. And that's why the wish didn't work."
"What do you mean, Jon? That's why the wish didn't work?"
"Karyn wished that we would look like we do now. She also wished we'd appear like we did this morning, which is basically the same thing. You can't reverse wishes. If we look more feminine or slutty, we would no longer look like we do now or like we did this morning. That's reversing a wish."
"I see what you're saying, but even just one wish is bad. We've got vaginas. And small breasts, but guys already have those."
"But Karyn thought she was making it worse. And that failed."
"I can see holes in your theory, Jon. Okay, so that wish was meant to change our appearance. But what if it was meant to change our appearance and something else? What if she meant looking feminine and acting slutty? Or acting feminine and looking slutty? The looking part wouldn't work, but the acting would."
"Do you feel yourself acting feminine? Or acting slutty?"
"Well, no, but just thinking one thought about one picture might not do much."
"We have to go to my place anyway. I have a porn collection. You can flip through it to experiment."
"Flip through it? You mean have a porn collection on paper? Wow, that's old-fashioned. Still, no thanks. You can try it."
It was hard to be sure, but experimentation at Jon's house didn't show an effect, at least not an obvious one. The two discussed what to do for the remainder of the hour, top priority of course being to try to get the stone back. Otherwise they would have to start living with female parts, even if everyone did still think they are male. By the time the end of the hour was up, they had made their plans....
