When Karyn opened the door, Jon and Alan jumped out from their hiding spot and took her by surprise. Then they tackled her and tried to grab the stone before she knew what was happening.
But soon they found out that she didn't even have the stone.
"Where is it?" Alan asked.
"You idiots," Karyn said, trying to shrug them off of herself. "You think I would leave the house with that thing and risk one of you stealing it from me?"
"Where did you put it?" Jon asked.
"Like I'd ever tell you."
"Tell us!" Alan yelled, pushing her face into the floor, causing her nose to bleed.
Jon looked at his friend with wide eyes. He could see the anger building up on Alan's face and knew that he was majorly pissed by what Karyn and Sarah had done to them. But this was a side of Alan he had never seen before. It was a vengeful one. Jon figured that if Alan got to the stone first, he might do something to harm Karyn. And while Jon didn't remember it, he figured that Karyn used to be a fairly decent girl. The only reason she was the way she was now was that she was changed by a combination of the wishing stone and the dream machine device. In a way, she was kind of a victim.
"Ow!" Karyn yelled out in pain. "You broke my fucking nose!"
"Alan, take it easy," Jon said, trying to calm his friend down.
But it didn't seem to be working.
