Joy pointed the device at herself and pulled the trigger, and a breathtaking blue light engulfed her body.
When the light dissipated she had become Jon again ... sort of. He was actually a male version of the girl he was, which was made possible by making his disguise "real".
Alison let out a sigh of relief. "For a moment there, I wasn't sure it would work."
"Why not?" Jon asked.
"Well, because wishes can't be reversed."
"True, but I didn't make a wish. The device isn't the stone. It doesn't follow the same rules."
"But you made a wish to make the device."
"Yes, but wishing for the device doesn't contradict any of the previous wishes," Jon explained.
