"Wait a minute! There she is!" said Ellen. "Did she whisper something? I couldn't hear it."
"I don't know..." said Jen. "Anyway, we have to get the stone back. It's my stone, from my grandfather... She stole it before we could use it to become as attractive as her!"
"Instant beauty treatment..." said Alana. "Not to mention all the other uses... do you really think you and her were friends?"
"I'm not sure," said Jen, "but we need to get the stone and find out! You know, I have an idea... you know, Alana, the magic stone isn't the only magic item we got. I created the fantasy and nightmare machine... and that one, I still have!"
"You mean," said Alana, "maybe one of our fantasies or nightmares may help you get the stone back?"
"We're going to find out!" said Jen, and aimed the device at Karyn. Karyn saw Jen pointing the thing and fled, but not before Jen could get a readout. "Let's see," said Jen, looking at the display. "Which one of these should we do? Fantasy... three incredibly sexy guys... this one isn't going to do much good. Nightmare..."
Of course, now that Karyn's personality had changed, she had a new nightmare. Jen read off the description of the nightmare....
