Jon grasped the stone and was about to make a wish, when all of a sudden Karyn pushed him. After he fell back against the wall, the stone fell out of his hand and landed near the edge of her bed.
"Get out of my house, or I'll call the cops!"
She was making such a racket that Jon didn't think he could just lurch across her floor and grab the stone without getting hurt, or worse: arrested. But without the stone, he was helpless.
What should he do?
