"Yeah," she answered, leaving the bedroom.
At the high school, Jon suddenly had a headache. As he grabbed his head, certain memories were altered. He fortunately made a wish that morning that prevented his memories from getting completely altered, just in case the stone got stolen and someone tried to erase his memory or something. He knew that Mikey was supposed to be his brother and Sarah was supposed to be the head cheerleader. But his new memories showed him that a girl named Michelle was his 12-year old sister and Melissa Smith was the head of the cheerleaders.
He knew what was happening. The merging of Sarah and Mikey changed reality, but it wasn't supposed to. At least, that's not what he wished for.
