"Hmm," said Jon. "I have an idea. We could change the device a bit. I wish I could discuss this with and make wishes with Karyn without anyone else noticing us."
"If you made a wish like that," said Karyn, "you obviously have something big in mind."
"Well, not really big. My idea has to do with the reversal switch. What happens if we use the reverse setting on a normal person?"
"Nothing?" said Karyn.
"Maybe, but I can change that. I wish that if I use the reverse setting on a normal person, it makes them into two nearly identical people. I also wish that that changes reality like using the stone--usually making thwm twins--and only me and Karyn notice any difference."
"Usually twins? Why not twins all the time?"
"Well, what if I use it on someone who already has a twin, it makes them into triplets, right? Not twins. And if I use it on someone 20 times, I get 21 people. They can't all be brothers or sisters, reality has to change in some other way. But other than that it should make twins. So who should I try it on?"
Karyn looked around the classroom. "I know! Why don't you reverse-merge..."
