"Do you know which ones you're going to use it on?" Karyn asked.
"Yeah. Stephanie Wright and Sarah McMillan."
"Why don't you choose two guys instead?" she asked.
"I will, just after this." He aimed the device at Stephanie, and was about to aim it at Sarah, when Karyn tried to grab the device from him.
"I think I should use it, Jon," Karyn said, pulling the device towards her.
"Karyn!" He accidentally aimed it at Karyn. "Oh no. I didn't ..."
The device fell to the floor, once he noticed what he did. When it hit the ground, something must have hit the ENTER button, because a light engulfed the bodies of Karyn and Stephanie, and they moved towards each other.
"No!" Karyn said, as she was forced to move towards Stephanie. "Jon, help me!"
But he couldn't do anything until the merge was complete.
He watched as Karyn and Stephanie got pushed into each other. Their bodies flowed together, merging into one person.
"What have I done?" Jon said.
Where both Karyn and Stephanie stood, now stood a new girl, who looked like Karyn, except for her complexion, which was very pale. Her hair was slightly different, too. She still had her blond hair, but now there were streaks of black running through it. Her clothes were completely different. As expected, she wore nearly the same as Stephanie wore, including several piercings and dark make-up.
Jon approached her. "Karyn?"
She shot him a glance. "My name isn't Karyn. It's Sharon."
"Okay. Sharon. Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be okay?"
"Don't you remember me?"
"I know who you are. You're Jon, right?"
Apparently, Karyn's memories weren't included in this new person. But there had to be something left of Karyn, besides her physical appearance.
