"Who are you going to try it on?" wondered Karyn.
"Oh, Sarah and Jennifer Taylor," he replied.
"But they're twins. They look the same anyway, and you could combine their personalities, but you wouldn't get something weird like if you combined a boy and a girl, or a teacher and a student, or something like that."
"That's not what I'm looking for," said Jon. "I wish that when I combine people it's as if they were always like that, except for my memory and Karyn's." He aimed at the twins and zapped them together. Light covered their bodies, which flowed into each other to form a single blonde girl who looked pretty much like either one. As reported by the device's screen, her name was Jenna Taylor, a combination of "Jennifer" and "Sarah".
"So that's two into one," said Karyn. "Why's it interesting?"
"It's interesting," explained Jon, "because I'm still wondering how they combined. They each had a boyfriend--does the combination have one boyfriend, or is she cheating on one with the other? How can Jenna be in the band and the debate team when both clubs meet at the same time? Besides, look at Jenna's clothes. They don't match at all, because we merged different clothes that don't go with each other. (Author's note: and what is a girl's suit, anyway?)
