They'd settled on a time-limited wish. It was the most responsible thing they could do, Jon had figured, since so many things could go wrong. The rock was an immensely powerful artifact, and as Jon and Karyn had discovered, unexpected side effects could pop up with any wish.

Karyn's idea had been simple. If the way Jon dressed was normal, wasn't seen as something strange or creepy, then he could dress however he wanted, without anyone judging him. He could still fly around and rescue people as Power Girl, he could still dress in short, revealing, feminine outfits, but the rest of the time he could still be a regular, average guy.

"I wish," Karyn had said, gripping the rock, "that for the next week, the way Kara dresses wouldn't be abnormal."

The rock had immediately flashed, leaving Jon and Karyn blinking from its brightness. Jon was still sitting on Karyn's bed in his Power Girl get-up, but other than that, they couldn't tell if anything else had changed. It was, however, very late, and Karyn was exhausted.

"Okay, I've made your stupid wish," Karyn said, tossing Jon the rock, "now go home. Some of us don't have superpowers and still need sleep."

Jon thanked her profusely and floated out the window, red cape flapping behind him.

The next morning, Jon woke up feeling fresh and hopeful. He'd slept as soundly as he ever had before, revelling in the feeling of his satin nightie against his naked skin. With his new powers, getting ready only took a few seconds, even with showering. Within moments of climbing out of bed, Jon stood in front of his bedroom mirror admiring his look. An extremely low-cut white shirt, a pair of short-short-denim-shorts, and a pair of open toed wedge sandals adorned his body. He'd even taken the time to add a layer of red lipstick to his lips. If Jon was going to be normal, he might as well have fun with it!

Jon walked at a normal pace down to breakfast, where his mother was frying eggs.

"Kara!" his mother said, smiling, "you look lovely today. Are you sure those shorts aren't just a bit too short, though?"

"Oh mom," Jon laughed, "They're fine. What, do you want me to wear a mu-mu?"

Jon's mom laughed and served him some eggs, bacon, and toast, all of which Jon devoured. His mother talked to him during the meal as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening, as if it was perfectly natural for him to be wearing these revealing clothes. After he finished, Jon cleared his dishes, said, goodbye, and walked to school.

The was was wonderful. Not that anything special happened, in fact, he was alone the entire walk. No, Jon was enjoying the feeling of acceptance that he had felt from his mother. He couldn't wait to feel that from everybody he met.

When he rounded the corner and could see his school, however, Jon stopped. The lawn was full of people, all waiting for the first bell to signal for them to come inside. All the girls looked perfectly normal, but the boys, well that was something different.

Every single boy was dressed in a similar fashion to Jon. Revealing. Tight. Feminine.

Jocks in mini skirts. Nerds in low cut blouses. Stoners in clubwear.

In the air above the school, Jon could see two boys descending toward the school's roof. Biff, the one closest to Jon, was wearing an outfit that Jon was pretty sure belonged to Wonder Woman. Steve, one of Biff's best friends, was wearing the signature purple outfit of Starfire, one of the sexiest heroines Jon had ever laid eyes on. Steve's hair was trailing a short tail of fire, just as Starfire's did in the comics.

"Crap," Jon sighed, happy to know that he was still going to be normal, but unhappy to know that until the wish ran out at the end of the week, there would be consequences all over the place.
