The rock glowed, causing Peter to look away. And when he looked back he saw that, while he was still clearly in the same house, all the furniture was different. In fact, it almost looked like someone else lived there.
Angela looked almost as bewildered as he was.
Then they turned towards the stairs when they heard someone walking down them. Peter saw a teenage girl he didn't recognize. She was dressed in a pink T-shirt and jeans.
"Hey, Dad," she said, smiling. Then she turned towards Angela and made an odd expression. "Mom? Why are you home so early?"
Peter and Angela exchanged confused looks. Who was this girl and why did she think that they were her parents?
Peter was about to make a wish to figure out what was happening, but his eyes went wide when he realized it was gone. He searched all around him, but it definitely wasn't there. What happened to it?
What Peter didn't know was that when he made Angela his wife, all of his kids (Jon, Zoe, and Mikey) ceased to exist, because he never married Linda. This was his new life, a life where he married Angela instead. And because it was a different family, he had different kids. Namely, his fifteen year old daughter Ashley and his eleven year old son Jon (it was always Peter's desire to have his first son named Jon).
