Poor Nathen, I thought, thinking back to our home economics class as I pushed open the door to the bois’ restroom and was greeted by the sweet smell of perfume and pink ceramic floors and walls. The rest of the school was just so bland, at least in the bois’ section everything was colorful and cheery. The restroom was empty as I entered so I immediately headed over to the makeup counter to check up on my makeup. I had just finished advanced makeup class and while I was pleased with the final result, it just wasn’t a look that I would normally go for. It was too slutty in my opinion, but it got me an A so go figure.
As I started to remove the makeup, my thoughts returned to Nathen and what shi told me about hir experience in home ec. I felt sorry for hir, especially since shi had to put up with Ramona of all people, the most boily boi in that class. No gurl should have to go through that defeminizing experience. I paused to throw the makeup removal pad in the bin and frowned. Maybe I should talk to Mss. Wilcox about it and see if we can’t do something for hir to help make the experience less painful.
I had just put my purse on the counter to start putting my normal makeup on when the door opened and in walked Lexanne and Deanna. I smiled at them through the reflection in the mirror.
“Hey bois,” I greeted them as they made a beeline straight for the makeup counter.
“Hey Jules, how was advanced makeup?”
“It was fine, although I think that Mss. Kwan wants us all to look like whores or something. You should have seen my face when I walked out.”
Deanna laughed.
“It can’t have been that bad, honey. Besides, I think that you’d make a good whore!” We all giggled as I playfully pushed hym away.
Finished with my makeup, I turned away from the station and entered one of the stalls. As I sat down to do my business, the gossip between us bois turned to prom.
“So have you got a dress yet?” I heard Deanna ask Lexanne.
“Oh yeah, it’s the most beautiful design ever, I can’t wait to show you guys it!” Lexanne gushed.
“I’m sure Pamm will find you absolutely stunning in it babe,” Deanna commented. “Just as long as shi’s not paying for it. I know how expensive your tastes are.”
Both Lexanne and Deanna giggled.
“Of course shi isn’t. Shi’d have a heart attack if shi ever saw the price tag. I’ll save that surprise for mommy.”
“Oh Lexi… You are awful. I have no idea how your poor mother copes.” Deanna shook hys head. “What about you, Jules? Are you all set for the prom?”
I think that Deanna immediately regretted asking that once hei had seen me exit the stall, I must have looked as if I was about to cry, and for good reason.
“Oh no, babe. I’m so sorry.” Deanna apologised as hei rushed over to hug me. “That goof Nathen still hasn’t asked you out yet, has shi?”
I shook my head as Deanna started stroking my hair gently.
“It’ll be okay, hun... I’m sure shi’ll ask you sometime soon. It’s not like you haven’t been dropping hints or anything.”
I nodded but still looked glum as I went to wash my hands.
“But how many times do I have to do it until shi gets the message? It’s not like I can ask hir out or anything, it has to be the gurl that does the honors.”
Lexanne and Deanna just watched me as I complained, and then suddenly, Lexanne spoke up.
“Oh, I know! Why don’t you go out with someone else?”
“W-what?” I stammered, confused. “I can’t do that, can I?”
“Sure you can, when Nathen sees you dating some other gurl, shi’ll realise that shi wants to be with you and will come running over to you like a lost puppy.”
“That’s actually not a bad idea, Lexi.”
“But what about this gurl that I’m dating? Won’t I be breaking hir heart or something?”
Lexanne made a motion with hys hands.
“Oh we don’t have to go that far silly, you just drop the occasional hint that you’re seeing someone and Deanna and I can casually mention to Nathen that somebody asked you to prom.”
“So I’d be lying to hir?”
Lexanne shifted hys feet. “Well, technically yeah, but what else can you do? Short of asking hir out yourself, you’ve practically tried everything, and you said it yourself, it’s not like a boi can ask a gurl out. That’s just unheard of.”
I thought about it for a few moments, and as the final bell to signal the next class rang, I made up my mind.
“Alright, Lexanne. We’ll give it a shot.”
“Excellent.” Lexanne said excitedly as we exited the restrooms.
