Jon saw some kind of gas being pumped into the chamber out of holes in the ceiling. The gas made him feel dizzy and sleepy, and it was extremely chilly. The walls of the chamber were also beginning to close in.
"I wish," said Jon, "that I was immune to this gas and to the cold, but knew how to pretend I was affected."
The dizziness disappeared from Jon's mind. Suddenly he was alert again. But pretending to be affected, he went limp. But the walls had closed in. Jon was worried that they were going to crush him, but they stopped at the point they pressed him up against the opposite wall in a small space barely enough to hold a single standing person.
Then he saw a bright light move back and forth, from top to bottom, sort of like a copy machine. A few seconds later, it was over.
"I wish I knew what just happened," said Jon.
A voice in his head replied, "When a person is put into the machine, he or she becomes a template used to create a bimbo. The bimbo doesn't have a full human personality or memories, but looks like the person and can answer to the person's name. The original is frozen and put in storage."
Like the Stepford Wives, thought Jon, only more sophisticated and probably some kind of clones or artificial life, not robots.
"I wish all the originals would return and their bimbo duplicates all disappear."
Jon knew what the sensation of a wish felt like--having to look away--and there wasn't one. "I wish I knew why that didn't work and how I can fix it!"
"Your wish was for the world to be filled with hot sex-hungry girls. This wish was done within the limits of the wish range by replacing most girls within the range by bimbo duplicates. Returning all the originals would reverse your wish, which is not allowed. You could fix it by returning the originals without directly using magic."
Jon sighed. This was going to be hard. He'd have to get to the storage area--they were going to take him there anyway--and do something to free the local female population, then get rid of the bimbos somehow.
In the meantime, Jon didn't want a bimbo to be replacing him and causing trouble. But there was a way to cause trouble for the whole bimbo system instead....
"I wish that my bimbo duplicate would become a real human being, with a copy of my mind, except that she likes guys, and she remembers nothing about being in here except changing into a girl. I also wish that she doesn't care that she doesn't have the stone."
Jon felt himself change.
After the white light stopped moving, the left door opened and Jon walked out of the machine. He looked himself over. "I'm a girl!" she said.
Jon tried to remember part of last night's chemistry homework and had no problem. I don't get it, she thought. It didn't change me into a bimbo... maybe that's just because it works differently on guys. But now I know there's a bimbo machine. I'd better get home.
