Sarah stared at the new brunette that had moments before been her boyfriend. As with the former Jon, her clothes had not changed with her body but now hung loosely from her smaller frame. "Jack! You changed too!"
The girl glanced down at herself. "Ugh! What am I wearing? Why am I in boy clothes?"
"Oh no," Karyn said. "Now he's lost his memories, too!"
"What are you talking about?" Asked the former Jack, instinctively tossing back her unkempt chestnut mane.
Sarah stepped forward, tears running down her face. "Jack, don't you remember anything?"
"Why are you calling me Jack, Sarah? I know my name's Jacquelyn, but Jack sounds like such a boy's name. Why don't you call me Lyn like everyone else?"
The blonde shook her head. "Nobody calls you Lyn. You're supposed to be a boy named Jack!"
Lyn rolled her eyes. "That joke wasn't funny when you used it on Jo. I've been a girl all my life, and I'm not gonna start doubting it now. The more important issue is what we're doing in this creepy old house while wearing such ugly outfits."
"That's right," Jo nodded, brushing back her own dark brown hair. "It's absolutely icky. I don't even remember coming here." Suddenly, she rounded on Karyn. "Did you guys bring us here? And did you dress us up like this?"
Karyn was fighting a losing battle with her own panic. "No! Listen to me! You were both boys! And-"
Jo gave an exasperated grunt. "There's the boy thing again! It's no use talking to you two! C'mon, Lyn, let's get out of here."
The two newly minted girls marched towards the door. After some hesitation, Karyn and Sarah followed, eager to get away from this place.
Meanwhile, Jennifer smirked. Things had gone wonderfully well. From their recent conversation, she had determined that the two boys were the primary instigators of this little intrusion onto her territory. So, she had concentrated her magic on removing them as annoyances and replacing them with people who would never dream of entering scary abandoned buildings. As a bonus, they were much easier on the eyes, now. Overall, this incident had proven to be more fun than she had experienced in years.
Watching, the four teenagers approach the exit, she decided to play one more trick on the two remaining girls, Sarah and Karyn. After all, they may not have caused the incident, but they were involved.
