"Alicia?" a woman's voice asked. Looking up, Karyn saw a young woman who couldn't be older than her lower 20s. Karyn realized that the woman had been in the conference room, but sitting in the back of the room. "I'm not Alicia," Karyn replied. Then, deciding it might be best to keep her true age a secret for the time being, she simply said, "My name is Karyn."
"Oh," the woman answered. "Well, I'm not actually Lisa... I'm your - I mean Alicia's secretary, Marcie. Whoever's in my body seems to have left." Marcie looked like she was in shock. "Anyway, I was wondering if you were going to say anything?"
This took Karyn by surprise. "What? Why would I say something? What would I say?"
"I don't know..." Marcie replied. "Alicia is the boss here. She's kind of looked up to. She used to give little pep talks when morale was low. I guess since you look like her, I thought it might help things."
Looking out the office door, Karyn saw what Marcie meant. Several people were crying, others were in various states of dress and undress feeling themselves up, and some were even starting to get violent. Taking a deep breath, Karyn left Alicia's office and tried to figure out what to say.
