Joan put on the dress. She walked up to the mirror, and her reflection was similar enough to Karyn that she could imagine Karyn wearing the dress.
Then she took it off and put on a pair of jeans. It would feel just too creepy walking around being the object of desire instead of looking at it.
But after she had gotten dressed and was no longer groggy from having just woken up, she realized what she had to do. She held up the stone and said, "I wish that Karyn would remember that I'm really Jon, without getting mad at me."
Karyn's eyes bulged and there was a shocked look on her face. "Jon?" she said. "I can't believe this happened. You aren't really my sister... and what was that about not getting mad at me?"
"Well, because I'm in your room, and I saw you half naked."
"Forget about it, J... Joan. It isn't important. What are we going to do?"
"I should make a wish. Remember how I could change a wish about that tree branch if I didn't reverse it? Well, I could wish that I blended in here in a different way."
"What if you mess that up and turn into a piece of furniture? Besides, I need you to stay my twin sister... not identical, of course... until the end of the week."
"Why is that?"
"Because now that I have a twin sister...."
